today i decided to try something new, today i decided to shave my face and only leave a mustache remaining and heck why not some mutton chops (not sure)..
as well as the new mask, i participated in something else new, it was an arts market called Pancakes and Booze. usually i do not sign up for arts markets like this. i kind of rely on my online presence which has been very rewarding.
i was able to hang my artwork up as well as set up a vending table for clothing and prints. which was really rad. i displayed a piece that i usually don’t show in public that got a lot of attention.
through it i met a ton of people through out the night. the staff / crew for the event had to be the most exciting bunch. they worked really hard to string it all together. after getting coffee and begging my roommate to bring me to the gig that morning i met them and began helping with set up.
i watched the event come together from start to finish. this is a profession that i take pride in really. organizing. so i was there to help.

the night began, i started working on an illustration close to 9PM. watching everyone stop to visit their friends and check out their art, shopping, buying their favorite work, chocolates, body paint, earrings, etc.
it was a great sight. it was a great experience. i wanted to do my best at remembering everyone who visited my set up, Clara who found inspiration in my and who has been following my work for some time now was finally able to meet me.. that really made my night.
having someone who is familiar with your art is a great feeling. im actually really glad i ran out of business cards,
