last night i participated in a Live Art Battle with four other local visual artists. we had three hours to create a piece of work on a 36 × 36 canvas
it was such a pleasant experience, i went into my zone and created a masterpiece.
it was completely my environment, i threw on some headphones and just went to work. i was in the ring with some of the greatest visual artists in Shreveport; it’s surreal how this came together. im super thankful to have been able to make it to this event.
i wanted to paint the first thing that came to my mind.. using my knowledge of art and color theory i painted in a style of my recent illustrations, i was thinking YELLOW the entire trip from New Orleans and was demanding to incorporate the color no matter what.
i also wanted to use negative space to set myself apart from the other contenders as I was expecting given their previous works. im known for minimalism and surrealism in my art. paintings by me are extremely rare to come across for im a pen kind of guy
Shreveport thank you for having me.
the first thing i ate when i got to Shreveport was Ki Mexico, it’s so refreshing; i spent some time with very close friends as well.
totally missing everyone i talked to on the trip.
Garrett thank you for everything and thank you for having me you’re such a brilliant thinker and im honored to be pals with you.
Karen W. bless your heart and soul and thank you so much for your appreciation. you are a shining light of motivation and i plan to keep getting better and evolving.
Katy Larsen thank you for including me and thinking of me when compiling this line up of creators for this wonderful experience. i look forward to sharing the evolution of my art with you.
Ben Moss I love you so much and thank you for being my partner in the arts. it’s always a pleasure to watch you create and to make art next to you was such an honor. we need to gang up and take over the world.
Taffie you are such a talented artist; and I am so grateful to be in the ring with you. I love that we will never be afraid to speak our minds and demand the respect we deserve. there comes a point where you reach a certain skill level and can see the fruits of labor.
there are so many people i want to thank and share how much of their time i value… in due time you will see;

hello Internet friends; family; loved ones;
i am enroute to Shreveport Louisiana to participate in a Live Paint Art Battle presented by some of my friends and the beer company Great Raft. i am pretty honored to be apart of this a couple of days before i leave to tour with the group $PARE ¢HANGE,
its been so eventful lately and it’s only getting better.
i took it as a sign that Emily appeared with this at the Dolo Jazz Suites last Saturday.
well, more updates soon, i can’t wait to reunite with everyone again talk about emotions
some people get through life working a regular job day to day, at the hands of another individual your schedule is crafted for you; my life is very much different; i work full time by turning my passion into my career… i use this blog to act as a looking glass into my current story; a direct view into my eyes and mind so be very aware that nothing is sugar coated or filtered. this is my soap box to explain myself as an individual and as an artist, as LEEAUX
i have been drawing my entire life basically. since i was young ive been very interested into the arts.
over a period of time i slowly let this passion consume me and mold me.
i was promoting for other artists/musical acts and venues off and on,
but art is really the main thing ive cared about…
more of this story posted soon;
the other day i met this rad guy named Ji. i liked his aesthetic so i drew a picture of him.
also, this really great guy decided to visit the thirdcoast. meet the Cheese.
we are about to make the well needed power moves to change this reality for the better. stick around.
soon my updates will strictly happen on this site.
